Experience Dark Star Orchestra at The Wiltern

Dark Star Orchestra BIO

Dark Star Orchestra is an American band formed in Chicago in 1997, dedicated to performing the complete repertoire of the Grateful Dead in meticulous, show-accurate recreations. Rather than playing a generic 'greatest hits' format, the band researches and recreates specific Grateful Dead setlists from particular historical dates, then announces the show after the performance. With over 2,300 performances to date, Dark Star Orchestra has become one of America's most active touring acts and is widely considered the preeminent Grateful Dead tribute and continuation band.

The upcoming performance at The Wiltern on February 5, 2027, is part of their Dark Star Orchestra 2026 Tour. Fans can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with the spirit of the Grateful Dead, as the band performs two full sets plus an encore. Notable songs that may be featured include "Good Times," "Deal," and "Dark Star." The live performances are known for their positive energy and connection with the audience, making it a must-see event.

Los Angeles has a rich musical heritage, and hosting Dark Star Orchestra at The Wiltern adds to this legacy. The venue's location in Koreatown offers fans a unique cultural experience before or after the show.
